In 2007, as the President of WestStone Communities, John was part of a media campaign in connection with the construction of Onyx Towers, a 26 story condominium complex the Company built in Tempe, AZ. There was media campaign that included an interview on Good Morning Arizona, as well as a variety of print mediums, including Phoenix Business Journal and Scottsdale Magazine, on which he graced the cover. He was also subsequently featured as one of "1000 People to Know" in AZ Commercial Real Estate.

In 1999, as CFO of Osage Systems Group, a technology solutions company, John had the unique opportunity to ring the opening bell at the American Stock Exchange as Osage went from OTC to publicly traded on AMEX. The Company was featured in the top 500 fastest growing companies in VAR Business magazine and John was selected as one of the "40 Young Guns under 40" in the Phoenix Business Journal that year.
